Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is a regional organization that brings together disparate neighboursto address economic, security, and political issues, but the group's impact remains limited. 

ASEAN was created on August 8, 1967, Bangkok, Thailand.

ASEAN, officially the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, is an economic union comprising 10 members states in Southeast Asia... Which is BRUNEI, CAMBODIA, INDONESIA, LAOS, MALAYSIA, MYANMAR, THE PHILLIPINES, SINGAPORE, THAILAND, AND VIETNAM.


Since ASEAN was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok by five original memeber countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Singapore, and Thailand. Brunei Darussalam joined on 8 January 1984, Vietnam on 28 July 1995, Laos and Myanmar on 23 July 1997, AND Cambodia on 30 April 1999.

Brunei : BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Cambodia: PHNOM PENH

Indonesia: JAKARTA

Laos: VIENTIANE

Malaysia: KUALA LUMPUR

Phillipines: MANILA

Singapore: SOUTHERN PART OF SINGAPORE ISLAND.

Thailand: BANGKOK

Vietnam: HANOI 

THE MOTTO OF THE ASEAN is The organization has tem members States The Motto of the ASEAN is "ONE VISION, ONE IDENTITY, ONE COMMUNITY". The head headquaters Are in Jakarta,Indonesia. 

The ASEAN EMBLEM represents a stable, peaceful, united, and dynamic ASEAN. THE colours of the Emblem blue, red, white and yellow represents the main colour of crests of all the ASEAN Member States. The blue represents peace and stability. Red depicts courage and dynamism. 

Formed in 1967, ASEAN united Indonesia, Malaysia, the Phillipines, Singapore, and Thailand, which sought to create a common front against the spread of communism and promote political, economic, and social stability amid rising tensions in the Asia Pacific.
